Defining the visual identity

We kicked things off by moodboarding visuals and mapping out words for each learning style, pinpointing key traits and symbols that could bring them to life. This groundwork helped shape a unique look and feel for each avatar, making sure they connected with students’ study habits and personalities. From there, I sketched out different concepts in Procreate, playing with shapes, expressions, and details to capture the right vibe. Once the ideas felt solid, I moved into Illustrator to refine the style, ensuring the designs were clear, scalable, and consistent.

Enhancing for impact

After getting the illustrations close to their final state, I incorporated feedback and refined the designs further. Adjustments focused on enhancing recognizability, ensuring visual balance, and making the avatars feel both playful and representative of diverse student experiences.
